Praise the Lord!
Praise God in his sanctuary;
praise him in his mighty heavens!
Praise him for his mighty deeds;
praise him according to his excellent greatness!
Praise him with trumpet sound;
praise him with lute and harp!
Praise him with tambourine and dance;
praise him with strings and pipe!
Praise him with sounding cymbals;
praise him with loud clashing cymbals!
Let everything that has breath praise the Lord!
Praise the Lord!Psalm 150
In our worship services this weekend at Trinity, we will be dedicating our church musicians: those who have been led by the Holy Spirit to use their time and talents in the service of the proclamation of His Word through music. We see throughout Scripture that God loves music and loves to use music to proclaim His Word. I personally would like to thank Trinity’s musicians in advance for all the time and effort that they will expend this year in this noble service to the Lord.
I would also like to personally invite you to attend the first concert of the Trinity Concert Series this coming Friday at 7:00 p.m. This concert is an organ concert that will feature Rachel Keehner, a musician who grew up with and was mentored by the music ministry at Trinity. The organ is aptly termed “The King of Instruments” not only because of its size, but also because of the variety of sounds and expressions that can be made by it. It is an instrument that takes years to learn and master and, having heard Rachel practicing, I am proud to say that she has mastered the instrument and is using her skills in service to her Lord. We pray for God’s richest blessings upon her and her continued service to the Lord.
